Bad SEO Techniques

Every webmaster wants there website to rank highly for there main keywords, this can be hard if your niche is saturated with other websites giving the same content. Its not impossible to rank highly in the competitive markets it just takes time and can not be rushed. There’s a lot of people using the Internet to make money but quite a few are looking for fast results and hurting there website in the process.

You have to be careful when it comes to SEO especially with newly registered websites. What some people tend to do is over optimize there website, and one of the common ways is by keyword stuffing. Keyword Stuffing is when you over optimize a page for a particular keyword, google is very intelligent and feels that websites that over optimize when it comes to keywords are only doing it for the purpose of google and therefore google will ban or sandbox that particular or page or your whole website. Another way google will penalize you for over optimizing is by dropping your website in the search results for your keywords.

Another very popular way of hurting your website is by what is known as “aggressive linking” this is very common in newly created sites. When you have a new site you need to link build pretty slowly as google will think is suspicious if a new website suddenly gets loads of seo link pointing to it. Its very easy to aggressive link build without knowing it as a lot of people who create new sites want them to rank highly in google, so they will go out and link build across a variety of sites and maybe pay a link building company to produce the links for them, then several days later they will notice they have been dropped from google and have to build up trust with google again. When you create a new website its best to get the first hundred links from good quality sites with pagerank, this may take a bit of time but if you build a good quality link base then producing loads of links later on wont be so bad and suspicious.

I mentioned earlier that google is very intelligent so hiding text or links for SEO purposes wont work and may get you penalized. Sometimes it can be hard to rewrite the text on a particular page to be optimized for your main keywords so what some people have done is hide there keywords within the page itself so the article still makes sense to the reader but google will assume it has been over optimized for your set keywords. One of the ways people would hide a keyword is by making the font color the same as the background and making it a smaller font so the reader should never come across it. This is the same for hiding links, people would hide links on websites again only for seo purposes but google is smart and has caught onto them so I would strongly suggest not doing it.

We talked about “keyword Stuffing” which has the same principle when creating your title and meta tags. Keep you title short no more than 7-10 words and dont keyword stuff it, the same goes for meta tags. If you use meta keywords then dont repeat your keywords just type out each one once, google will notice if you have repeated your keywords and will penalise you for it, repeating your keywords in your meta tags is just another method of over optimizing.

this is a pretty vapid post. It’s just paraphrasing quality guidelines that pertain to one company, google, who monopolizes search.

The more you refer to one company’s formula for ranking search results, the more you reinforce an unfair competitive/monopoly advantage.

Not too many years ago, links did not even matter. In real life, links do not matter, and it’s plenty ethical to buy/sell ‘links’ in real life.
The fact that one search engine relies too heavily on links for their ranking scheme has contorted the entire web to thinking of it as an important factor.

Don’t be a part of that mentality - it’s unethical to just be a parrot for the biggest bully in town. And it makes you look really dumb.

Hey, You are right. Most of the websites which were created newly, they do immediately start linking using different processes. Google will notice if a website will get loads of links in a short span of time which isn’t natural. One guy has contacted me with the same issue. So it’s important to hire a professional SEO consultant to run every thing smoothly and safely for your online business.
